Tom's Cheesy Pizza Cookies

Cheesy pizza cookies

Hello! Tom here, and what a treat I have for you today my doggy friends. My recipe for home baked cheesy pizza cookies. Yum!

Inspired by the human’s homemade pizza night I decided to create a pizza flavoured cookie.

They’re one of my favourites and I think they would be a best seller in my bakery shop.

So get your humans to make some for you … and tell them not to eat them. Because they will try.

How to make Tom’s home baked cheesy pizza cookies …

This recipe will make approx 150 small cookies.

  1. Mix the flour and porridge oats in a large bowl.
  2. Add the rapeseed oil and give it a stir.
  3. Prepapre the cheesy pizza mixture by putting the cheese, carrot, parmesan, basil and oregano in a bowl
  4. Mix the cheesy pizza mixture into the flours.
  5. Add just enough water to make a stiff but pliable cookie dough.
  6. Knead the cookie dough lightly to make sure all the yummy ingredients are combined and make a cookie dough ball.
  7. Turn the cookie dough out onto a lightly floured surface.
  8. Roll out to approx 0.5cm thickness.
  9. Cut into cookie shapes with a cookie cutter.
  10. Place cookies on trays lined with baking paper.
  11. Bake cookies in a preheated oven 180C until firm to the touch – baking time can vary depending on size of the cookies so we bake for 15 minutes and then check the cookies every 5 minutes until firm.
  12. When the cookies are firm, switch off the oven and leave the cookies in the oven while it cools. This gives a lovely crunchy cookie.
  13. Fill up the cookie jar.
  14. Eat cookies!

A little note …

We love our homemade treats and food because we know exactly what we are eating. Tillie and Tom have no sensitivities to the ingredients used in this recipe and we only use ingredients that our humans eat too. Some dogs have sensitivities to dairy – Tillie and Tom don’t. They love cheese. The flours and oats we use are gluten free.

We recommend that you make sure your doggy friends don’t have sensitivities to the ingredients used when making doggy treats at home. We also recommend that cookies and other treats are eaten in moderation.

Dreaming of owning a bakery shop where everybody buys cookies. For me.
